RC Environment Sunsetting

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to sunset our sandbox environment (RC), which some of you have used to test features or integrations.

The date for sunsetting the RC environment will be Saturday, September 30th, 2023.

Why are we sunsetting the environment?

By sunsetting this environment, it will help streamline our development, reducing the risk for bugs.

Additionally, the code on the RC environment is no longer up to date and does not accurately represent the production environment. We have spent the last six months rebuilding our environments from scratch, and the RC environment is the next phase of the process.

What if I need to test things?

Most changes to your university can be tested using existing features in the admin panel, including new courses or visual changes that you aren’t ready for learners to see. For the few cases where this is not possible, our engineering team will work with you to test whatever you need on one of our secure and accurate development environments.

What should I expect moving forward?

We’re planning to create a new sandbox environment exclusively for customers for the purpose of testing. This new testing environment is currently planned for release in Q1 of 2024. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager for assistance.
